Floating Staircase Surrey
This was a straight flight floating timber staircase manufactured in Oak with brushed stainless steel spindles. It was supplied as part of an extension to an older property connecting a music room and a children’s sitting room.
Landing Balustrade
In addition to the staircase we supplied a small run of matching landing balustrade to protect the exposed stairwell. The treads, wall stringer and handrail were all 42mm thick solid oak and all factory finished with a water based matt lacquer.

Riser Infill
New staircases in the UK have to have no gap larger than 100mm between the steps. All our floating timber staircases come ready with a separate small timber riser piece but we do have the option to upgrade to the integrated L shaped downstands. These ensure the gap isn’t too big whilst giving the impression of a thicker tread whilst ascending the stair.
Full Staircase Drawings
As with all our floating timber staircases, full drawings are prepared before production. These include 3-D views to help visual the stair in situ and of course can be altered to reflect the choice of timber. This process ensures the headroom and pitch line are in line with building regulation requirements.
