Oak Staircase Hampshire
A staircase is generally the first item on view when entering a property so represents the perfect opportunity to create a striking impression. Our client spotted us at the Home Building & Renovating show at the NEC and was impressed with our models. He needed a wow factor staircase for his new build, one that was open and light in appearance given the front to back open plan arrangement of his proposed ground floor.
Quarter Turn Staircase
Despite the size of the property, the area for the stair was a little limited with the exit point already fixed on the bridge. We had to opt for winding treads running down to save space and make sure we didn’t come too close to the front door.

Glass Infill Panel
The staircase was supplied extra wide (1000mm) with stringers and treads extra thick (50mm) for additional support given the span from wall to floor. A small triangular shaped area under the floor was filled in with a glass infill panel to provide protection whilst keeping it open.
Landing Balustrade
The bridge area upstairs was quite large and we supplied landing balustrade for the edges. This was supplied with matching oak handrail, 100 x 100mm newel posts, a 42 x 42mm floor rail and toughened glass infill panels. This kept it in keeping with the stair whilst maximising the passage of light.
